Sermon: Three Parables and a Proverb | Luke 5:27-39

  • A Proverb: “Those who are well have no need of a physician.”
    • If God the Great Physician were to perform a spiritual checkup on your life, would He diagnose you as healthy or as sick?
    • What is our attitude toward the marginalized, the weak and wounded, the sick and sore?
  • Three Parables
    1. Guests at a wedding feast
    2. New patch on an old garment
    3. New wine in old wineskins
  • As 21st-century Christians, what should our attitude be toward the wedding of the bridegroom? Should we be feasting or fasting?
  • Both! The Already and the Not Yet

Song of Response: “Do What You Want To"

Benediction: Titus 2:11-14
